Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck systems, particularly engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Perform engine rebuilds.
  • Diagnose engine problems.
  • Remove and/or install engines, transmissions, and differentials on trucks.
  • Perform predictive and preventive maintenance.
  • Track your time for each operation and complete a service report for every repair.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
  • Perform diagnostic scan tests on trucks.

Here, you won’t be working on the same thing every day.

You’ll work on all makes, models, and model years.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle mechanics.
  • Holds a DEP in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (a strong asset).
  • Takes pride in a job well done.

  • Diagnose and repair diesel engines.
  • Work on electronic and mechanical engines, transmissions, and differentials.
  • Use computerized diagnostic tools.
  • Perform engine repairs both in and out of the truck.

Here, you won’t be working on the same thing every day.

  • Has 5 years of experience in heavy-duty engine mechanics.
  • Has strong electronic diagnostic skills.

Engine Shop Supervisor

Then the Engine Shop Supervisor position in our engine department could be the perfect opportunity for you!

As an Engine Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning and assigning work to mechanics. You will also follow up on completed work and report on repairs and services performed for customers.

You will support, coach, supervise, and train our team of heavy-duty vehicle mechanics in the engine shop.

And when needed, you won’t hesitate to grab your tools and get hands-on by performing engine, transmission, and differential diagnostics and carrying out the necessary repairs.

Qualifications and skills we’re looking for:

  • DEP in Road Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or another related field, such as construction equipment mechanics or agricultural mechanics.
  • 10 years of experience in a mechanical shop, with experience in the heavy-duty vehicle industry.
  • 5 years of experience as a supervisor or team leader is a strong asset.
  • Strong coaching skills and excellent communication abilities.
  • Rigorous, detail-oriented, and thorough.
  • Functional English skills to effectively use diagnostic tools provided by leading diesel engine manufacturers worldwide.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
